Too Much Information?

So I am regretting dying everything green yesterday. I tend to get a little too themed with every holiday. I made green waffles and green milk for breakfast and green eggs and green apple juice for lunch. Imagine my horror today when I... A. Change a diaper and B. Assist in the bathroom. Too much information? Hope you had a great Green Day!

Bring out the summer clothes

I was getting Taylor dressed this morning and decided to put her in shorts, since it was going to be in the 80's today. I guess my sweet little girl had forgotten about the existence of shorts during the winter. When I was putting them on her she said, "Mommy, don't put Michael's pants on me!"

Who the heck is this blonde baby?

I gave Mikey a buzz tonight and discovered that he is blonde! Blonde Blonde! Surfer Blonde! Is this the same kid I delivered with a head of thick Italian dark hair? Who are you?

Another Anniversary

It was 4 years ago today that Rob and I were sealed to one another as well as our beautiful baby Jolee. It was such an amazing experience. The emotions that accompany a sealing of a parent to a child is amazing. Rob's hand, My hand, and Jolee's chubby baby hand on the alter, will forever bring a tear to my eye. I kinda wish we could experience it with every child. But the way us Mormons have kids, the temples wouldn't be able to get anything else done! :) I feel so blessed to have an eternal family. Families truly can be together forever.

MMMM....Milk!

Jolee's preschool had a field trip down to Anderson Dairy on Tuesday. The girls loved watching the puppet show and getting ice cream. I even gave some to Mikey, you can tell by the "bright eyed sugar rush" look he has going on. I loved watching how the milk was processed. I felt like I was on unwrapped. I think Sesily and I were more into it than any of the kids! It was a fun day!

Conversations with a 4-year-old

This is a conversation Jolee had with Rob and I yesterday. It was so funny, I wanted to share it. We were watching TV and we saw a commercial for the show Family Guy.

J: Mommy, will you record that show for me?

M: No, it is too naughty.

D: It is even too naughty for mommy and daddy.

J: Why is it naughty?

M: Because they say bad words.

J: Like Spongebob does?

D: Yes, like spongebob.

J: What kind of bad words do they say?

M: I don't know, just words that aren't nice.

J: I know, they must say stupid and "hurry up"

I will explain the hurry up thing. She is my little sensitive girl and almost cried one morning I told her to hurry up when we were trying to get out the door for preschool. She said, "Mommy, that is a mean thing to say, you should say go faster." I love the hilarious things she has been saying lately. She is definitely 4 going on 16.

Into Everything

Why didn't my girlfriends with little boy warn me? Little boys are so curious and into everything! Michael is now 10 months and loves to pull himself up on everything and crawl onto any surface he can manage. This is him practically sitting on top of my printer, check out the tip toes. And then Rob trying to channel all of Mikey's energy into learning how to walk. I love my little bruiser!

What Would You Do?

Have you ever seen that hidden camera show on Dateline? They put people in crazy situations to essentially see what they would do. I am the person watching thinking I'm opinionated and a little sassy, therefore I would absolutely intervene. Well on Monday waiting in the doctor's office, I was encountered with a crazy situation, that could only be the cause of bad parenting or a sting operation. I was sitting close to this teenage boy with a fussy baby on his lap. The baby, no older then my little Mikey, started to cry. He yells in the baby's face, "Shut the F*** up!" I look up horrified, while everyone else continues to read their magazines. I say, "You can't talk to a baby that way. I am going to call Child Protective Services on you." So this very eloquent teen yells at me, "F*** you B*****, call the F*** whoever you want." My face turns bright red and I am shaking and on the verge of tears. Remind you, that everyone else is acting like nothing is going on. At that exact moment, the nurse calls me back. I am still very upset and tell her and the doctor what had just happened. The doctor marches out to the waiting room to confront this model citizen and he is met with F bombs galore. Can you imagine? He got an attitude with me, just a random woman, but the swear out a doctor in a lab coat? Now that's a class act. The kid ended up getting kicked out of the office and I think the police were even called. Crazy day! Anyway...it broke my heart. If someone is going to yell such horrendous things at a baby in public, what are they doing in private? Anyway...I hope that you will all be a little sassy and stand up for what is right. We have to our children are growing up too quickly in this scary world.

Fun Weekend

We had a very fun weekend over here. Friday night I went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic with my girlfriends from my ward Laura and Amber. It was a cute movie, probably could have waited for the rental, but having a girl's night out coupled with Ben & Jerry's is priceless. When I got home, I logged on the computer to check my math test grade and I got a B. So that made me a happy, a B in Math for me is like an A in any other subject.

On Saturday, we met Rob's parents at the park and the kids had fun playing on the swings. I did however received the Worst Mom Ever reward. I pushed Tay Tay a little too high and she flipped out of the swing and landed into those darn wood chips. She got little cuts all over her precious face. I felt awful! Anyway...we came home from the park and got cleaned up and then headed over to the Stake Center for the Elders Quroum Dinner. We played the Newly Wed Game and Rob throughly embarassed me. One of the questions was, "What was the physical feature that attracted you to your wife?" I knew the answer, but didn't think he would actually say it in church. Long story short. Rob said, "Bum." Yes...I've got some junk, but like I said before throughly embarassing.

Sunday was a Fast Sunday. I had to take the kids with me to the airport to pick up Jacey and my Dad from Utah. From there, we headed to church. Hung out late and for the Break the Fast. Came home, put the kids to bed, and caught up on a very overloaded DVR. Great finish to a great weekend.
